The courses at the Riyadh Colleges of Dentistry and Pharmacy under the practice of pharmacy aims to equip the students with the necessary knowledge and skills that will be utilized when they go into hospital or community pharmacy practice. These courses also expose the students to different scenarios that they may encounter during their practice through case studies, small group discussions, hospital and community pharmacy exposures, etc., thus ensuring that they would know how to respond when they face similar settings.

The program aims to provide the students a well-rounded undergraduate education with an emphasis on the pharmaceutical sciences and to integrate knowledge with practical hands-on experience to enhance career path development.

The five-year curriculum for the B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences begins with a foundation of coursework in mathematics and the basic sciences (chemistry, biology, physics). This inter-disciplinary program then progresses to advanced coursework in the pharmaceutical sciences, including aspects of drug design and synthesis, mechanisms of drug action, pharmacognosy, pharmacology and toxicology, dosage formulation and manufacturing.
