"The course is designed to further dental practitioners' knowledge and skill within surgical clinical practice in dental settings. The sessions form a comprehensive course covering principles and practice"
OBJECTIVES:
- Understand the basic surgical teqnichue in oral surgery procedures.
- The different types of surgical instruments and how they are handled and used by dentists and assistants.
- The principle of proper planning of surgical incisions in the oral cavity.
- The different types of intraoral flaps and the proper way of designing and reflecting mucoperiosteal flaps.
- The trainee will obtain the correct method of suturing and develop the proper speed needed in real practice.
All of the above will be given in the practical sessions on plastic models and cadavers under the supervision of the instructors on man to man basis. Task will be repeated until the candidate masters the technique.
