Dr. Gordon Jones, an Advanced Consultant at the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation, visited RCsDP on 26 October 2011.
Dr. Jones received a warm welcome when he arrived at the Colleges from Prof. Abdullah Al Shammery, the RCsDP Rector. He and the Rector had an extended discussion on the upgrading of operative dentistry in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
Dr. Jones later went to tour the An Namuthajiyah campus facilities and was able to see for himself the students as well as the faculty and non-teaching staff of the College at work in various departments.
Dr. Jones candidly informed the Rector that he was extremely impressed with the institution's facilities as well as with the faculty and staff. He added that RCsDP is one of the finest schools he has ever visited.
The visit ended with Prof. Al Shammery's presentation of certificate and token of appreciation to Dr. Jones.
Dr. Jones was certified by the American Board of Operative Dentistry in 1986. He was the Past President and Chair of Examination and Certification Committee of the American Board of Operative Dentistry. He is at present the Head of Records Division at Capt. James A Lovell Federal Health Care Center.
