HRD RECRUITMENT DIVISION
The Recruitment Policy aim to provide clear guidance in relation to both selection and appointment of staff with high quality based on the required capabilities. It is of paramount importance to recruit staff with the necessary skills and attributes to enable the College to fulfill its corporate aims and objectives.
Objectives:
To recruit staff with the appropriate skills, both technical and personal, in order to meet the College current and future needs.
To ensure that staff appointed to posts involving teaching responsibilities are qualified to carry out such duties or are working towards an appropriate qualification.
To work with fair and effective recruitment procedure in accordance to College Equality and Diversity policies and practices.
To develop and enhance the public image of the College, both as an employer and as a quality provider of education.
The policy provides an open and transparent framework to select staff employed under the terms and conditions of Faculty and General Staff Agreement.
Thus, the recruitment procedures are the guidelines to assist an efficient and ethical framework of the selection and recruitment process which a critical factor in ensuring the right staff. It also enhances the College credibility and underlines commitment to integrity, accountability and transparency in decision making processes.
The recruitment procedures required to undertake the recruitment and selection process to completion. It splits the process into a number of stages which necessary to ensure that the procedures are followed as described since they are derived from College policy and good practice. The Human Resources Department (HRD) is available to advise any Departments requiring help at any stage within the recruitment process.
